Pennsylvania now has an official amphibian, the Eastern Hellbender. With all that is going on in the world Lynn can't believe the PA House has spent time voting for or against a nocturnal salamander. She is also shocked by the local controversy over the new Pitt football uniforms. The helmet had 412 on it, the Pgh area code. Shop 412, a local clothing company, contacted them about violating their trademark. Pitt has since removed the 412 from the new uniform, but many people are upset over this reaction.
As Lynn attempts to have a less serious show today, she is also discussing the Charley Chaplin silent film 'The Gold Rush.' It's a film she thinks is brilliant, and will hold up for years to come.
