About Us

Pittsburgh City Paper's mission is to serve the greater Pittsburgh region with journalistic integrity, wit, and compassion, while amplifying the voices in the communities we serve, through both our news reporting and our arts and entertainment coverage.

The first issue of City Paper was printed on Nov. 6, 1991, and we have been serving the city ever since. Free issues of City Paper are distributed every Wednesday throughout the Greater Pittsburgh region, and new content is uploaded daily, without paywalls, online at pghcitypaper.com.

You can follow City Paper on social media at Twitter.com/PghCityPaper, Facebook.com/PittsburghCityPaper, and Instagram.com/PghCityPaper.

You can subscribe to City Pigeon, our newsletter here to get our most recent stories emailed straight to your inbox.

Pittsburgh City Paper is owned by Cars Holding Inc. and is a member of AAN, the Association of Alternative Newsmedia; the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association; and The Pittsburgh Media Partnership.

If you appreciate City Paper's journalism, please consider becoming a member. We've just celebrated our 30th birthday. Your support will hopefully help us continue for more. Thank you for reading.
