Philippine-American Performing Arts :: Halo-halo

The Filipino term “halo-halo” translates into “mix-mix,” making it an appropriate term for this evening of eclectic entertainment at Kelly-Strayhorn Theater. Discover the arts and culture of the Philippines when 40 dancers, musicians, and singers take the stage to perform traditional dances influenced by the Spanish, Muslim, and indigenous people of the archipelago. Featured works include the famous Tinikling pole-jumping dance, Banga, and the graceful bamboo-pole balancing act, Pangalay.
