Hundreds of protesters including University of Pittsburgh students and faculty gathered on the lawn outside of the William Pitt Union building creating a human chain yesterday. Palestine supporters began camping out in Schenley Plaza on Wednesday of last week, demanding that the University cut ties with any companies supporting genocide. Two protesters were arrested for trespassing while trying to set up tents on the lawn of the Cathedral of Learning. One student was arrested for the second time later in the evening. By midnight protesters had returned to their tents in Schenely Plaza for the night.
