Every Monday, Pittsburgh City Paper staff writer Jordan Snowden wraps up the weekend in local music news with #MusicMonday. Here's what went down the past few days.

On April 30, WYEP turns 45, and the Afternoon Mix is spinning all 45s for the occasion.
On May 1, National Concert Week returns for the fifth year. The list of participating Live Nation Pittsburgh shows was supposed to remain secret until tickets go on sale May 1 at noon, but Live Nation surprised people by releasing the acts early.

This weekend was a big one for music and art fans in Pittsburgh.

Art All Night, in its 22nd year, featured more than 20 hours of interactive art, family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and a video lounge in the Strip District.

The fourth annual August Wilson Birthday Block Party saw a record number of attendees, and a $1 million donation from the Richard King Mellon Foundation to restore Wilson's childhood home was announced during the event.

Meanwhile, Wilkins Block Party in Schenley Park boasted a multi-genre musical lineup, food trucks, and more.

Also on Saturday, Clara Kent performed a Sofar Sounds secret show with Osama Alomar and Corrine Jasmin. The next mystery Sofar Sounds Pittsburgh show is May 18.

Friday night, Wicked Pittsburgh celebrated its two year anniversary with a music/art collab event at Gooskis.

Congratulations to all the successful shows/parties that went down this weekend. What a way to kick off the outdoor event season in Pittsburgh!
