With Hurricane Milton bearing down on Florida and the horror of Helene still raw, disinformation being spread by Trump supporters is impeding FEMA and other relief agencies and causing real harm. At a vigil in Squirrel Hill last night to mark the horrific slaughter of Jews on October 7, Mayor Gainey, County Executive Sara Innamorato and Rep. Summer Lee were nowhere to be found. It was an inexplicable absence and perhaps a telling one as antisemitism continues its unabated rise.
