Free. casa-brasil.com – Beleza, a lounge and dance party celebrating the many styles of music from Brazil, presents a special birthday celebration for DJ SMI at Casa Brasil. Hit the dance floor for a selection of samba, bossa nova, tropicalia, and more spanning decades. The kitchen will also be open for late night eats.

Shake: Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale the Godmother of House at Remedy. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. 5121 Butler St., Lawrenceville. facebook.com/remedypgh – Remedy presents legendary DJ and Godmother of House Music, Stacey “Hotwaxx” Hale, for one amazing night. Considered a pioneer in her field, Hale has been producing house music out of Detroit since the 1980s and has played the Apollo, Studio 54, and The Warehouse, as well as clubs and venues all over the world. Joining Hale are local DJs Eric Justin and Elysium.
