Local officials joined Live Nation and Citizens Bank executives this morning in a groundbreaking ceremony and press conference for the future site of a new music venue in the Lower Hill District. Citizens Live at the Wylie will be a 98,500 square-foot venue with a capacity of 4,000 people. Lt. Gov. Austin Davis, Mayor Ed Gainey and County Executive Sara Innamorato spoke on the importance of bringing more jobs, music, and art to the Lower Hill District by way of the Wylie. The new space is expected to create more than 300 jobs with a base pay of $20 an hour. Set top open in late 2026, Citizens Live at the Wylie will hold between 80 and 110 events per year in the historic Lower Hill District.
