The 12th annual Cupid’s Undie Run took place this Saturday on the North Side starting outside of McFadden’s Saloon. Runner’s were not deterred by the rain and cold as they ran the approximate mile-long route across the Roberto Clemente Bridge and back. The Cupid’s Undie Run raises funds to benefit neurofibromatosis research, a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body affecting one in 3,000 people. Pittsburgh participants have raised almost $100 thousand this year alone, while the charity has raised $213 million since they started in 2010.
