As 2023 comes to a close, I am reflecting on my first year as City Paper’s photographer. Working with the incredible newsroom, it has been a privilege documenting the communities, businesses, and people who make up this great city.

Since starting this position, I have been able to experience Pittsburgh through a whole new lens. On my first assignment I found myself climbing on top of the roof at Fiasco Art Center in Observatory Hill. A few assignments later I was standing on the main deck of a Tow Boat propelling down the Monongahela River. This role allows me to express my creativity within my craft of photojournalism.

I look forward to what the new year will bring and I can’t wait to share more moments with our readers each week.
