    Re: “Fairywood Tale
Fairywood is an environmental crime scene that must be preserved so that the guilty can be prosecuted, not as kelly kelly kelly correctly notes, turned over for industrial use that will cover it over. I had to go to Vermont to learn about Fairywood. Even though I lived in Pittsburgh for 6 years I'd never heard of it, and now I know many Pitt lifers who've never heard of it. The Chartiers watershed is the worst in the state, the EPA has known this for years and done almost nothing... look upstream and you will find out... acid mine runoff, pesiticide runoff, Canonsburg industrial sectors, abandoned mine shafts, Allegheny Ludlum, etc. and now look ahead at who's got their eyes on this place. The UPS site appears to be a high tech security zone... The Chartiers Creek is an environmental disgrace... raw fecal matter is quite common there.. There is much more to this story.
