Good question by Morgan Hawkins. If the author of this article had ever driven along Noblestown Road from Carnegie to McDonald and taken the time to look around, he would have noticed many old stone buildings and other "artifacts" that would make naturally inquisitive people like Morgan and myself to ask exactly what that history entails.
Instead of mocking this area, perhaps some actual research should have been done instead of what can be gained from the first few results on a Google search.
Noblestown Road goes through a LOT of towns, how about explaining why it was named after this one. There's also a Noblestown-Steubenville Road. Why build a road from Steubenville to some little outpost?
The history may not be as intriguing as the author may like, judged by his mocking of everything related to the area, but it has its own history nonetheless.
