Re: “1,000 march against war in Iraq

You did not even begin to explain how the movement supports the troops. Remember this...just about every soldier (if not all) fighting in Irag today (in 2007) joined after the war had already started. They knew full well what the effort was for. They joined the military because they agreed with the cause. By showing a lack of support for the war, you are showing a lack of support for the troops. With that said, you have every right as an American to protest any war, but don't try to bullshit us into believing that part of your mission is support. The only situation in which you could disagree with a war effort and still support the soldiers would be a war where the men and women serving were involuntarily drafted. That was Vietnam. Protestors had a point then, but this is not Vietnam. There is no draft. I'm proud that we have people willing to step-up in the country and attempt to make a difference but you can't step-up just to step-up. It seems to me like we have a bunch of 'professional protesters' who would protest anything just to pass the time. What are you going to do when the Democrats win in 2008? Suddenly, your only connection to each other-Bush hating-will be gone. Oh wait, thats right...global warming!
