Video Tour: Thunderbird Café & Music Hall officially reopens this weekend

After almost three years of renovations, Thunderbird Café & Music Hall is officially set to reopen this weekend.

Before the doors open, take a mini video tour of Thunderbird with City Paper's photographer Jared Wickerham, below.


Upon entering the venue, visitors will find an industrial-looking bar area, which will be open every day regardless of whether there is a musical act playing. During the initial weeks, the bar will have modified hours and food menu (food will be available).

The bottom level is where the magic music happens. Stretched across the right wall is a mural created by London-based artist Dan Kitchener. If the style seems familiar, it is, Kitchener sprayed-painted the large mural found a few blocks up on the side of New Amsterdam.
