Unblurred: First Friday on Penn Ave.

Eight blocks of Penn Avenue come alive tonight with Unblurred. The monthly Penn Avenue Arts Initiative gallery crawl includes more than a dozen galleries, businesses and more. Attractions include Jamie Smittle’s interactive puppet-sculpture showcase, at Assemble; Steph Neary’s solo exhibit folklore nevermore, at Bunker Projects; a show of work by Indian village artists Samir Gurai and Suman Gupta, at METTA; a Bill Murray party at WorkshopPGH (think Groundhog Day); Men of the African Diaspora, a Pittsburgh Black Media Federation photography exhibition at BOOM Concepts; and a Hot Jam demo at Pittsburgh Glass Center. -Lauren Ortego
