Re: “The Pittsburgh Promise was supposed to get more city youths into college. So why are so many black males left out of the equation?

This is one the dumbest things I have ever read. I would first like to start off with I'm sorry his father died, but that can't be to blame her. You played all of these sports and had the gpa? What the hell is wrong with your school, for letting you play sports then, that is a shame on their part, they should have put that right to a halt. A 2.6 is what it take for you to get the promise that Is a c, sad if you ask me but not for me to make up. Then to somehow say that African Americans are not being treated fairly it stupid, it's not like they have to get a 4.0 to get the promise while whites are a 2.6, they are the exact SAME, and then to try to blame it on low income family is the dumbest part about this, you go to a pittsburgh public school not upper saint clair high school where you need to buy your own school supplies, in a pittsburgh public school you have to pay for nothing at all, free school supplies, free lunches not like they segregate you on race or income.
