String Machine - Death of the Neon
Earlier this month, String Machine, a local experimental indie-folk band released a music video for "Eight Legged Dog," the second song on its forthcoming new album, Death of the Neon. The music video was meant to tease the LP, and if it truly foreshadows the nine-track album, expect to listen and feel a weirdly uplifting sense of doom, sprinkled over heartfelt melodies and soothing rhythms.

Death of Neon drops Fri., Aug. 2, with an album release party the following day at The Mr. Roboto Project. 7-11 p.m. Sat., Aug. 3. 5106 Penn Ave., Bloomfield. $10.

The Bleil Brothers - Pizza Mountain
Jazz fusion fans will enjoy four new tunes on Friday when The Bleil Brothers release Pizza Mountain. The EP, which will be celebrated with a show at Enix Brewing, is the first original music the band has put out since the 2016 self-titled debut.

During the show, Clint and Adam Bleil will play music from Pizza Mountain, as well as tracks from The Bleil Brothers. 8-11 p.m. Fri., Aug. 2. 337 E. Eighth Ave., Homestead.

The Chad Sipes Stereo - Dig
Released July 4, The Chad Sipes Stereo's latest EP, Dig, is already available to stream and enjoy on Bandcamp. However, this Saturday the 4-piece rock band is promoting the new music with a release show at Thunderbird Café & Music Hall.

Two other local rock bands, Chet Vincent & The Big Bend and Dan Getkin & Twelve Six, will be joining The Chad Sipes for the show. 7 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Fri., Aug. 2. 4053 Butler St., Lawrenceville. $10.
