Every fall and spring, The Mr. Roboto Project holds elections for its board of directors. The next election is set for Mon., Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.

Three positions are up for the term, including facilities coordinator, special events coordinator, and treasuer.

Because the Bloomfield music venue is completely DIY, everything (general space maintenance, grant writing, merchandising etc.) is run by The Roboto's board of directors.

Each position is volunteer-based and requires a commitment of about 10 hours per week. This includes monthly to biweekly board meetings.

According to the Facebook event page, the responsibilities for the positions up for election are as followed:

Facilities Coordinator - responsible for maintaining the physical space of Roboto, including organizing regular cleaning days, stocking supplies, and updating the light and sound equipment

Special Events Coordinator - responsible for booking the art gallery and running First Friday events as well as working with organizers to bring in non-music events that benefit the community

Treasurer - responsible for bookkeeping and bill payments, as well as grant writing and merchandising
