The Censor

When she is passed over for promotion and instead reassigned to an unimportant post in the farthest reaches of The Commonwealth, Charlotte, a government censor, takes some small revenge on the totalitarian government she represents by commissioning a portrait from Nellis, the controversial artist she was sent to reign in. As she forms bonds and friendships with the Island community, she is swept up in the revolutionary sentiment that seems to pervade the territory. Seeing an opportunity for a new life away from the repressive kingdom, Charlotte must choose between conflicting loyalties and decide whether her past can ever be truly left behind.
