"Cleveland is the next Brooklyn" gets 32,700,000 hits on Google only if you omit the quotes. That tells Google to find pages that use some or all of those words, or similar words, in some order. So you'll get pages that mention the Brooklyn Dodgers and Grover Cleveland, for instance. Add the quotes, and the page count changes from 32,700,000 to six, including this page.

Pages with the actual phrase "Pittsburgh is the next Brooklyn" total seven, so we beat Cleveland, I guess, except several of them seem to be merely reposting already-counted pages.

Google's page count for the actual phrase “Detroit is the next Brooklyn” is 307, so they win the Meaningless Internet Chatter Brooklyn Comparison race.

Reporters regularly cite inflated Google results that don't actually show anything relevant to their points. If only there were a columnist calling out the media for such unfortunate displays.

I believe there's an abandoned railroad line that runs parallel to Route 51, all the way from around the West End almost to West Liberty Avenue, passing by the south end of the Wabash. It could make a great bike trail.
