    Re: “The Flame BBQ
Certainly NOT a good BBQ. This is the stuff that gives northerner's approach to BBQ a really bad name. True BBQ is smoked slow and low over various hardwoods or fuit woods. There is not so much as a hint of smoke taste, let alone any visual "smoke ring" that a good pitmaster looks for in the meat.

The pulled pork might be cooked slow, but not smoked. It actually was very salty, and the sauce was fair at best. I've had better sauce out of the supermarket aisle. The ribs were not tender, instead very stingy, to an almost tough consistency. Sometimes this can happen when cooking ribs though. And again they were sauced over with the below average sauce.

I am a connoisseur of BBQ from all across this great country of ours -- from the Carolina's to Tennesee. From Texas to Kansas City, and all locations in between. I've had the best there is and some of the worst. This on a scale of one to ten, might rate a 1.5 at best. This is not BBQ. This is at best, grilled ribs, over sauced, and oven cooked pork shoulder over sauced.

If you served this to a pitmaster in Memphis, he or she would laugh you out of their establishment. Unfortunately just another poor, feable, northern attempt at BBQ.
