Re: “Driving in a New Direction

As a PBS viewer that moved back to Pittsburgh somewhat recently from Chicago, I refuse to give a penny to WQED, despite having given regularly to WTTW, Chicago's PBS station. WQED's pledge-driving is endless. My favorite weekend afternoon shows, the home improvement and cooking shows referenced above, are constantly preempted. Why would I support WQED if they air such drivel? I would guess that I get to see regular weekend content only 50% of weekends; the rest is filled with utter, complete nonsense. Why is it that WDUQ can stage reasonable pledge drives but WQED cannot? The current management of WQED has soiled its historically excellent reputation.
