Thank you for your excellent review. I have received the book from Amazon and am anxious to begin reading it. Fortunately a good number of the poems I got to hear when she did a reading at Ohio State last February with snow on the ground. To hear the rhythms of her voice when she reads her poems aloud is a wonderful experience. One immediately notes that while her poems frequently deal with her new home in America, her language and voice are still deeply rooted in Liberia. She is a wonderful poet, who seems better known internationally than here in the States.
