(Re)Discovered

The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh will present a concert that includes Alessandro Rolla’s Viola Concerto in E-flat, Caroline Shaw’s Entr’acte, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings. The COP is delighted to host Pittsburgh native Devin Moore as the soloist for the Viola Concerto by Alessandro Rolla. A highly regarded piece, the Rolla concerto is rarely performed and has been partnered with two other pieces to create a compelling program. The COP continues its commitment to contemporary composers and women composers by featuring Caroline Shaw’s “Entr’acte.” Rounding out the evening will be Tchaikovsky’s lyrical favorite, Serenade for Strings.
