This play is a must-see, if for no other reason, than to witness terrific performances by the three actors in the most comfortable theater Pittsburgh will ever see. With some fine-tuning to allow more clarity in what occurs on stage, this play could easily play to sold-out audiences in New York and elsewhere. I fully concur with Mr. Hoover's portrayal of Ms. Bates as "electrifying"--you are simply left believing you are in the presence of Marie LeVeau herself--no easy task to perform given the complexity of the character!
