In-gallery music with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
When: Thu., May 10, 5:30 p.m. 2018
What could make the experience of visiting an art gallery with works created in the 18th-19th century more immersive? An orchestra playing music from that time period. Join the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at the ongoing Visions of Order and Chaos: The Enlightened Eye exhibit to experience centuries-old culture in person. Katy Williams, a soprano with the PSO, will sing works by Chopin, a renowned Polish composer from the 19th century, and Anne Williams, principal cellist, will play a few pieces by Robert Schumann, a German composer from the same time. -Lauren Ortego
