Pittsburgh Grooveline: Dance parties at True T PGH, Brillobox, and more (Sept. 5-11)

Each week, Pittsburgh City Paper compiles a list of Pittsburgh dance parties for you and your crew to bust loose to the best bangers, EDM, pop hits, and more. (All events are 21 and over unless otherwise stated.)

Vogue and Hip Hop Weekly Social at True T PGH. 8 p.m.-12 a.m. 4623 Liberty Ave., Downtown. $5. 18 and up. truetpgh.comTrue T PGH presents Vogue and Hip Hop Weekly Social, a weekly duel dance party for the LGBTQIA+ community. Guests will find two rooms featuring two different themes, one with house music and one with ballroom beats.

Three-Day Party Weekender with Hot Mass and Honcho. 11:59 p.m. unless otherwise noted. 1139 Penn Ave, Strip District/350 West Station Square Drive, South Side. soundcloud.com/hot-mass — Get ready for a weekend of non-stop dance parties when Hot Mass presents two night of DJs, followed by a special event on the river aboard the Gateway Clipper.

On Fri., Sept. 6, head to Hot Mass when Lateral presents local act Father of Two and headliner Hodge, a UK DJ described as “sitting on the edge of the more dystopian borders of techno,” whose productions and DJ sets “boast an unremitting sense of energy.”

On Sat., Sept. 7, the fun continues when Hot Mass and Humanaut present the fraternal German techno duo, the Zenker Brothers.

On Sun., Sept. 8 from 5-10 p.m., it all culminates with a Honcho party on the Gateway Clipper showcasing the collaborative talents of DJs Roza Terenzi and D. Tiffany. Hot Mass events cost $15-20, while tickets for the Honcho cruise cost $30-45 (space is limited).

FORGE, a monthly party created to foster collaborations between artists and music makers, will welcome Jarrett Tebbetts and Nancy Steadle of CURED, a weekly event that formerly took place at Remedy. Also playing is B-Tru of Longturn. Expect deep house, downtempo, dub, funk, and more.
