Klaudia Dietewich, an artist based in Stuttgart, Germany, created 50 photographic panels or “Traces” of human presence found in cities around the world, including Pittsburgh. The traveling exhibition will conclude in 2020 in New York City to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
The opening Reception at 7:30 pm, with brief remarks by Feyisola Alabi, Special Initiatives Manager for the City and Project Manager for Welcoming Pittsburgh, German artist Klaudia Dietewich, Curator Raimund Menges, North American Coordinator for Mayors for Peace Jackie Cabasso, and featuring an original jazz composition by accomplished Pittsburgh pianist Irene Monteverde.
