Every Monday, Pittsburgh City Paper staff writer Jordan Snowden wraps up the weekend in local music news with #MusicMonday. Here's what went down the past few days.

Junction, a monthly dance party at Brillobox which premiered in January, had its first guest performers on Saturday - Driving While Black Records artists Jordan Montgomery, Livefromthecity, Lucas Akira, and Jaybee.

Junction is held every second Saturday of the month. The music can include  hip hop, house, Jersey club, R&B, and dancehall.

Heart Punch, the highly anticipated album from The Lopez, dropped Saturday with a party at Spirit. With the help of friends and the local music community, Steph Flati was able to master, press, and finish Heart Punch after the unexpected passing of her bandmate and husband, Jesse Flati, last fall.

Ahead of its May 24 Sundries release, dream-pop band Flower Crown dropped single, "Breathe."

Looking to hear more local tunes? Pittsburgh podcast Soundcheck created a Best Of Pittsburgh playlist.

Sunny with partly cloudy skies, Saturday almost burst with the number of musical events in the 'Burgh. Over 200 local acts performed at the free Millvale Music Festival.

Even those passing by were able to enjoy the festival.

In Schenley Park, another free event, Pittonkatonk, took place with bands from around the world.

If you missed those events, or are looking for more live music, here are some shows happening this week in Pittsburgh.

Check in next week for another edition of #MusicMonday.
