The food co-op steam table and salad bar is one of the very best things in Pittsburgh and I've often thought there probably were few like it anywhere. It's strength is its home cooking feel. Vegans, of which I am one, will gladly share the table with a few non vegan items if that is the price of having the table itself. The article, which references an attempt by management to have employees sign some kind of pledge relative to 'cultural changes' fails to get explicit about the real nature of the pledge. What was it all about?
