Melissa Sweet, Children's Author and Illustrator

Join children’s-book illustrator Melissa Sweet this afternoon as part of Carnegie Library’s Words and Pictures series. Sweet has been the illustrator for more than 80 popular books, including The Right Word: Roget and His Thesaurus and A River of Words: The Story of William Carlos Williams. Sweet will be talking about her bestselling and acclaimed novel, Some Writer!: The Story of E.B. White, which explores the world of the journalist, New Yorker contributor and popular children’s book author (Charlotte’s Web). Combining photos, personal letters and family memorabilia, Sweet’s book is the first fully illustrated biography of White, and includes an afterword by his granddaughter. -Lauren Ortega
