Central North Side, a Czech Pilsner, will be released from 5-7 p.m. on Fri., July 26 at Commonplace Coffee in the Mexican War Streets. This release is the third of 90, following Allentown, an imperial shandy, and Overbrook, a pale ale.
The series was started in May of this year and will continue until every area has been brewed. (East End Brewing Company is working off of the city’s official list of neighborhoods). Brews and neighborhoods are matched in the simplest way: East Ends keeps a growler full of names, and when the time comes, picks one ceremoniously out of the top.
At the Friday release, Mayor Bill Peduto, in addition to tasting the new brew, will pick the next neighborhood.
Along with the Central North Side brew, East End Brewing will also be selling cans of their Almost Famous Pickle Beer, released in collaboration with Primanti Bros. last week, and Eye Opener Coffee Porter, a brew made with Commonplace Coffee beans.
Central North Side will be available on draft and in cans at the brewery’s Larimer location as long as supplies last.
