I lived on a 43 acre property, the old Rudolph farm, just outside of Kellettville, PA from the year 2000-2006. The nearest light was two miles away so we were in total darkness. My son and I were in the kitchen of the farmhouse one night when he brought to my attention that the forest was aglow with fireflies. Suddenly they ALL quit glowing and six seconds later they ALL lit up again. This repeated over and over that night. I don't want to classify or analyze. We human beings have named many things as we've discovered them so that allows us to create a reference for everything...but what are they REALLY?
