The former employees at Iron City did every thing they could to help save their jobs by taking 20% pay cuts giving up vacation and holiday pays and many other concessions, but they were lied to and betrayed every step of the way by Mr Hickman. My father (Rich Malter Jr.) is one of those men! My friends and I stand behind him and fellow friends from the brewery, we have not and will not purchase any Iron City beer products to show our support to not only my father, but all the other former employees as well. Mr Hickman took away a part of Pittsburgh, as well as a part of my heart. I remember growing up and all of our holiday partys the only beer in the house was Iron City and IC light. I remember going to Christmas partys at the brewery in the 80"s, and later when mr Piccerelli owned it, I attended every Oktoberfest or event they had. Its ashame that I won't be able to give my daughter those same experiences that I had growing up, or that my dad won't get his retirement plaque like his father did. Im asking you fellow Pittsburghers to stand up and show your support.
