Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor

Every year, the Thomas Merton Award honors notable activists for their transformative work. Celebrate 2019 recipient Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor for the Thomas Merton Award with an event at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center. Taylor, a professor of African-American Studies at Princeton University, has written several books on Black liberation, including her latest, Race for Profit: How Banks and the Real Estate Industry Undermined Black Homeownership. The event will feature food and drinks, music from Deejay Aesthetics, live performances, a book signing, and more.
