I was recently laid off from EDMC and at first was very upset, but in prespective, I am actually lucky to not be a part of an organization under such scrutiny. I have been an employee for numerous years and was very proud to be a part of an organization who, under the leadership of Bob Knutson, really cared for their students. They hired Todd Nelson from Apollo, knowing that he was forced to resign because all he cared about was Wall Street. He was about making money and not the welfare of the students. It is inevitable that EDMC is not going to be in existense for long. The daily fear of losing my job is over and I feel sorry for those that are left having to endure that fear every day.
