    Re: “Art
I appreciate the article Melissa Meinzer wrote on the Waffle Shop and I'm sure it will add to our growing customer base.

However, since my class deals with how context can create meaning I would like to clarify some of the quotes in the article. The quote attributed to me at the end of the article, "The idea is to ultimately confuse people," left off the last part of my sentence, which continued "just enough to open them up to new ideas and experiences." This is an important omission as I personally don't think confusing people for its own sake is a very interesting thing to do in art or life. The quote "People being drunk goes a long way" was one of several responses to a question about how we got our customers to talk to us on camera, not what allowed them to appreciate art.

Again, I am pleased in Melissa's interest in the project and just wanted to clarify those two points.

    Sincerely,

    Jon Rubin
