She gained notoriety with her book The Secret History of Wonder Woman, which explores the superhero’s relationship to 20th century feminism. Her latest book, These Truths: A History of the United States, lays out a comprehensive history of the U.S. and explores whether or not it has lived up to the expectations and rights laid out by the founding fathers. Lepore appears at Carnegie Music Hall of Oakland as part of the Ten Evenings series hosted by Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures.
