    Re: “The Imitation Game
Alan Turing is not "the man who built an early computer." He's the man who came up with the logic for how things could be computed. The Turing Bombes were not Turing-Complete computers*; the first thing he would consider a computer (ACE) was one of his after-the-war projects.
The paper where he earned his fellowship, "On Computable Numbers", made the concept of computers exist.
Without him or Von Neumann, computers would've come around 20, 30 years later than they did. Without him AND Von Neumann, "Computer" would still be a slang term for "secretary."

*Computers that could be programmed to handle whatever pure number-crunching can do. Like putting a comment on a website.

To anyone who is interested in the history of Hip-hop and has not read "The Tao of Wu", I highly recommend it.

It is insightful, well-referenced, and occasionally funny; it is only held back by The RZA's insanely massive ego (and, in early chapters, the utter hatred for the white man he felt in his youth).
