'Flounder' is a music (rock) band founded in the autumn of 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA. that touches on rock, funk, progressive, blues, experimental, jazz, and metal. Flounder the band comprised of four artists: Brian Genovesi, Steve Ivol, Mike Lannon, and Chuck Simpson. All members have years of playing experience behind them, and they always bring a very professional sound and attitude at all their shows. Flounder's band members have years of experience playing bars, clubs, and other venues dating back from the early 90’s to present. They have played in such bands as the One Eye Daddy’s, The Moving Company, and Devastation, just to name a few. The members of Flounder are fluent in many genres of music and have been professionally trained from instructors like the Duquesne University Faculty Guitar Ensemble, Rick Malls from Waynesburg University (Guitar Gallery), and many others.
