Fire Underground

Nick Crockett
Fire Underground
In his fantastical and otherworldly animated film Fire Underground, filmmaker Nick Crockett explores stories about coal, labor history, and myths of Appalachia. The project was made using video game software, giving it a unique, but familiar style. The film will screen at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, followed by a panel featuring Crockett and Steve Tonsor, director of science and research at the museum.
