Ethnic Heritage Ensemble

Uploaded by Manny Theiner
Tickets: Juke Records (Bloomfield), Jerry's Records (Squirrel Hill), Dave's Music Mine (South Side) & Caliban Books (Oakland). After 46 years, this legendary band still serves people worldwide with a special brand of 21st century Griot music. Current lineup: young trumpet titan Corey Wilkes, Detroit baritone saxophoist Alex Harding, and award winning multi-percussionist / vocalist / composer, Kahil El'Zabar. EHE is now in the pantheon of jazz history. Few bands have lasted more than four decades and there are no signs of this illustrious ensemble slowing down. New album Feb 2019: "Be Known" on Spirit Muse Records.
