A civic engagement project that uses photographic imagery to document the faces and experiences of multiple generations of immigrants and their descendants. Using Pittsburgh’s stories as a lens through which to consider the broader American immigrant experience, the project highlights the central role that immigration has played in the formation of our identity, in sustaining our economy, and in the enrichment of our cultural diversity; and in so doing, the project helps create a space for civil, constructive conversation about immigration today.
