Elements of North Africa

Maria Hamer Bellydance welcomes you to "Elements of North Africa," where you will be transported to discover the rich mosaic of dance and culture of this region. From the villages of Tunisia, the living rooms of Egypt, to the contemporary cabaret stages of the United States, set your preconceptions aside and experience the transformation of "bellydance" throughout the ages. Highlighting the show will be Aisha Ali from Los Angeles, an internationally recognized authority on the dances of Egypt and North Africa. The event will feature dancers from Pittsburgh and surrounding areas with our amazing MC, Phat Man Dee.
