Early Learning: Tasting Freedom

Join us in the cafe for a Black History Month tasting experience as we explore plants used by freedom seekers for survival and comfort, as inspired by the exhibit, From Slavery to Freedom at the Heinz History Center. Learn about important African-American crops like okra, sweet potato, and sorghum. We will offer samples of both traditional and local foods. This program is drop-in, so feel free to come and go as you please! This program is designed for our youngest learners (0-5) but suitable for all ages.
