Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival

The 60th anniversary of Three Rivers Arts Festival kicks off this week, bringing artists and musicians together at Point State Park for 10 days of events. Bring your family, friends, and umbrella (locals use the oft-rainy festival as a weather forecaster) and buy some happiness at the artists’ market, listen to some tunes, and explore the free public art and entertainment spread throughout Downtown. Kick-off events include a concert from Grammy-winning soul singer India.Arie and an after party with Critical Mass featuring Pittsburgh DJs Big Phill, Black Steel, and Selecta. We predict this year’s must-see spot for festival selfies will be Héctor Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena’s colorful public art piece, Los Trompos (“The Spinning Tops”).
