David Wancyzk on Baseball for the Blind.

Hear author David Wancyzk speak about his latest book, Beep: Inside the Unseen World of Baseball for the Blind. Wancyzk first saw a Beep Baseball game in 2012 and has been following the National Beep Ball Association (NBBA) ever since. According to the NBBA, Beep Baseball is the “adaptive version of America’s favorite pastime.” Complete with buzzing bases and a beeping ball, it was developed for athletes who are blind or visually impaired. Wancyzk has reported on the annual World Series as well as on the stories of the ballplayers who are blind.
