Critics' Pick: Teenage Halloween at Mr. Roboto Project

[PUNK] + AUG. 16, 2017

Get ready for an angsty night at The Mr. Roboto Project, featuring both traveling and local talent. Eight-piece pop-punk outfit Teenage Halloween has plenty of angst, but also the big sound you’d expect from its hometown of Asbury Park, evident on tracks like “Tiki Party.” Howardian is the dark and experimental project of Ian Vanek, utilizing spoken prologues and unconventional instruments. Rounding out the night is the Pittsburgh-based emo rock of Capsule Corps., and the funky/dreamy pop of Soda Club.

7 p.m. 5106 Penn Ave., Bloomfield. $7. All ages.

Teenage Halloween's new EP Eternal Roast will be out in September. More info here
