The breakdown of the five bands playing Smiling Moose tonight is 60 percent Pennsylvania and 40 percent Jersey, in case you have strong feelings about it one way or the other. First up from the Garden State is the fuzzy, guitar-driven indie rock of Ragged Lines, and the almost-pop-punk of American Lions. Despite living in landlocked Pennsylvnia, Cape Cod makes breezy, melancholy beach tunes. The Big Shaboozie offers bluesy alt-rock, and Soda Club, the only ’Burgh band on the roster, is gearing up for its debut dream-pop EP.
