[INDIE ROCK] + FRI., JAN. 26

If I could brand this show as “NPR rock” without sounding like a jerk, I would do it. Richmond, Va.-based Sammi Lanzetta is indie rock incarnate — meaning there’s a femme tenderness and powerful grittiness to the four-song EP she’s touring on. If you need any prodding, local neo-folk coterie String Machine will make your eyeballs start leaking right there in The Mr. Roboto Project. Also, Sammi’s EP is less than 10 minutes in its entirety, which is pretty punk.

7 p.m.
5106 Penn Ave., Bloomfield.
All ages. $7.
